Ro.aliment Show 2024, the leading event for the food industry in Romania, was a valuable experience for the Rottaprint team. We had the pleasure to participate as partners at this event, sharing our expertise and presenting innovative solutions for dairy and meat products labels and packaging.

The Ro.aliment Show 2024 edition brought together professionals from all corners of the food industry, from manufacturers and distributors to technology and service providers. This diverse setting stimulated networking, the exchange of ideas and opened the way to new partnerships and innovations.

Innovations for the dairy industry

On the first day of the event, we presented a wide range of applications for dairy-specific printed labels and foils. From butter packaging and labels, to printed foils, ice cream paper cones and non-adhesive tags, we explored various solutions to help producers differentiate their products and communicate effectively with consumers.

The Q&A session’s interactive discussions demonstrated the industry’s concern for sustainable and customized solutions. Participants were particularly interested in the materials and their recyclability.

The “stars” of the day were without a doubt the shrink-sleeve labels with mosaic and variable data, which facilitate the recycling process by making it easy to peel off the label thanks to the perforations. They allow advanced product customization and are ideal for:

• seasonal campaigns;

• testing new products and;

• running creative promotions.

Solutions for the meat industry

During the second day, we looked at a range of options for labels and packaging tailored to the meat industry. We talked about the importance of identifying the conditions under which labels are applied, taking into account temperatures, timing of application (before or after pasteurization) and product shapes. We also explored market-tested sustainable solutions and their results.

We presented different types of products such as:

• Printed foils for the sealing of trays designed for use in modified atmosphere packaging, which are almost impermeable to gases, helping to maintain product freshness;

• C-wrap labels – which partially surround the container, providing a large print area for branding and information;

• Anti-theft labels – we highlighted the importance of using them in order to increase security and enhance the relation with the retailers;

• Digimarc labels – technology that allows fast scanning the labels at cash registers and is becoming increasingly popular in Europe.

Networking and a visit to the Vel Pitar bread factory

On the third day, we had the opportunity to visit the Vel Pitar bread factory. This experience gave us valuable insight into the production processes and challenges specific to the bakery industry.

This day was mainly dedicated to networking, strengthening relations with existing partners and creating new connections.

Attending Ro.aliment Show 2024 was an extremely rewarding experience for Rottaprint. We had the opportunity to connect with professionals from across the food industry, share knowledge and discover new opportunities to collaborate.
