It was that time of year again! Time when employees from all departments get together, bring their families and enjoy a great day together. After the pandemic period, which meant social distancing, working from home and a break from events, Rottaprint gathered for the annual picnic – Picniciada. What better way to celebrate the end of summer than a family picnic?!
#PicniciadaRottaprint2022 was packed with everything: both rain and sunshine, music and dance, bonding and jokes, games and contests, tasty food… and lots of fun!
Activities for all ages at Picniciada
Yes, the weather was tricky, but that didn’t stop us from having a fun-filled day! There was catching up, laughing and playing games. There was definitely no place for boredom.
The little ones had many exciting activities and the parents had time to relax. They met Mickey and Minnie Mouse, got excited at the magic show, were captivated by the puppet theater and happy to dance at the Zumba Kids Party. During the rainy periods, the children headed to the specially set up tent. There they could get into the skin of their favorite characters by painting their faces. They also had an indoor play area to keep them busy and happy. The icing on the cake? The inflatable slide, adored by the little ones and even tried by the bigger ones. Only the short spells of rain persuaded the children to take a break.
Teenagers also enjoyed exciting activities at Picniciada. The gaming room was certainly to their taste. Some experienced Xbox games with 3D glasses for the first time. Outdoors, they played basketball, lap tennis and ping-pong. And the brave ones exercised their balancing skills on the Indian bridge.
There was also plenty of music for all tastes. And even the seating areas were in high demand. Some chose them only during the breaks between games. Others preferred them because that’s where they sat for a story and a draft beer with colleagues and friends.
Backgammon Championship
Of course, Picnicada could not miss the famous backgammon competition, already in its 9th edition. Our colleagues and partners competed, but most importantly had fun. Some had their eyes on the trophy and others came out right after the first round saying: “What to do? At this game luck is everything.”
The Pancake Championship
Who doesn’t love pancakes? To make them but mostly to eat them? Now in its 5th edition, the Pancake Championship was the perfect opportunity to take creativity to the next level. We had fun cheering and anticipating the results, while our colleagues baked pancakes in a dance rhythm. The unique combinations and surprising plating had us swallowing dry. Luckily we had the opportunity to taste them. Hundreds of foodies showed their interest.
Food at Picniciada – in the spotlight
The day would not have been complete without the excellent (and satisfying!) meal provided by our partners. They surprised our senses with a varied menu: crispy, beef sandwiches, burgers, porchetta and many other goodies, enjoyed alongside a quality draft beer.
So we had a delicious feast at Picniciada. Plates were filled and it suddenly became much quieter as everyone devoured what was in front of them.
Photo Booths – for a day to remember
Pictures are a timeless souvenir for any event or special occasion. Of course we wanted images that would last a lifetime. The photo booths were the highlight, perfectly capturing the event! It’s always a surprise to see the hilarious sides of our colleagues. Families and friends were photographed in the funniest poses.
Those who stopped by the Rottaprint Photo Corner got a custom frame and saw how the labels displayed on the rolls looked. Seeing it as an opportunity to learn through play, the little ones got labeled from head to toe.
At Videobooth 360 X the tone-setters got on the platform and recorded their moves from all angles. They set an example for those encountering this experience for the first time. The resulting footage contains slow & fast motion effects and is spectacular.
It was a day full of conversations, relaxation and children running around and laughing their hearts out. Because that’s what Picniciada was all about: new found friendships and happy memories with coworkers.
Yes, fun is an important part of a company with a strong culture. More than that, it’s the sense of togetherness that drives us forward prosperously and effectively. This picnic is one of the many ways we encourage team members to get to know each other better and show them how much we value them and their families.
