What happens when two Romanian leaders unite to optimize a crucial element of their sales strategy? The result is a successful collaboration, as demonstrated by the seven-year partnership between Rottaprint and Farmec. Initiated in 2018, this collaboration aimed to transform labels into true marketing tools, capable of reflecting brand identity and influencing purchasing decisions. This article takes us behind the scenes of this collaboration, revealing how quality, speed, and technical innovation translate into impactful labels.
”Rottaprint and Farmec, two businesses with 100% Romanian capital, joined forces in 2018 to create quality labels that reflect brand identity and attract consumers on the shelf. The collaboration, which began 7 years ago, solidified around common values for the two Romanian brands, such as stable partnerships, professionalism, and quality. At the start of this partnership, Rottaprint already had 27 years of market experience and a diverse product portfolio, some introduced for the first time in Romania. Among these are heat-shrink labels, brought to the local market in 2008 as a premiere by Rottaprint and improved in 2019 by replacing the PVC film used in their production with PETg, an environmentally friendly material. In line with its commitment to sustainability, Rottaprint currently offers rPET with up to 40% post-industrial recycled content and rPET with post-consumer recycled content.
Beyond rPET and PETg, the shrink sleeve label segment within Rottaprint’s portfolio has continued to develop, offering specialized solutions for various market needs. Among the most recent additions are OPS material, recognized for its outstanding visual appeal, and the shrink sleeve with light barrier, including UV. This one is specially designed for light-sensitive products, such as protein drinks, which, due to their composition, require additional protection and a completely opaque material to preserve their properties.
In this article, we explore how the partnership between Farmec and Rottaprint has evolved over time, the impact of labels on purchasing decisions, and the challenges involved in adapting designs to remain relevant in a constantly changing market.
